#MyLittleBigThing is for every young African innovator, including people with disabilities and people on older phones and slow connections. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
The accessibility menu
Use the round button at the bottom left of every page to:
- make the text larger, in three steps;
- switch on high contrast;
- underline every link;
- use a plainer font with more spacing, which many people with dyslexia find easier;
- stop animations and moving parts.
Your choices are saved in this browser and apply on every page until you reset them.
What else we do
- A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users (press Tab on any page).
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Forms have labels and clear error messages, and the application form saves your answers as you type.
- Pages adapt to phone screens, and the site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting.
- Videos are on YouTube, where you can switch on captions.
Known limits
- Some older course videos and slides from partners may not have full captions or text alternatives.
- Some PDF downloads, such as the printable workbook, are not fully accessible. Ask us and we will send the content in another format.
